One of my favorite cases. I hope the continued exposure of this case generates leads. It seems to have slowed down significantly but I believe it's solvable.

Just for situational awareness there are actually two individuals commonly called the I-70 killer. One refers to a Herb Baumeister who killed men up and down the I-70 corridor in Indiana and Ohio, and the other is the individual profiled on UM.

It airs March 27th.
Here's what it says in the episode description: "Every day, I-70 carries thousands across the Midwest. But in 1992, the highway also carried a serial killer with six victims across five states. With the help of a possible survivor, the team hopes that her memories can help unlock the dark secrets of I-70." |

I watched this episode at the forbidden site.
For those of you that are very interested in this case, there has been some speculation and discussion at Web Sleuths that this killer was also the killer of JB Beasley and Tracie Hawlett in Ozark, AL in 1999. The Dark Minds episode made some interesting points near the end as to why he might fit as their killer. While I am not convinced, it's a very interesting theory to me. |

If you go to the thread I just mentioned on Web Sleuths, there is a link to watch at the forbidden site. The thread is quite long, and the link is toward the end of it. |

This was a good segment. I had no idea there was a survivor. I also liked that they interviewed the guy who was working at the video store when he found one of the victims.
I'd like for Dark Minds to cover the Ohio prostitute murders. It's good they've covered some cases featured on UM that have been neglected due to time and no new leads. |

I do think though that it could have been one person that did the ohio murders. On another note I heard a truck driver mention in a recent interview i heard on the radio that he once saw one prostitute visit 25 trucks on the same night in connecticut. and the ohio UM trucker segment was the first thing that I thought of. I had another truck driver tell me something very similiar in the past. |
