Here is the Skipper in a 1953 Randolph Scott Western, beautifully shot in Technicolor .

Alan plays jolly stagecoach driver Olaf Swenson.

He does undercover with his former Army buddies to stop a crooked plot in California.

Alan pretends to lift a 1326-pound rock to win a $1500 prize from a dance hall hangout of secessionists.

Alan's so dedicated, he even poses as husband and wife with the fellow in the last photo.

It's silly formula stuff but a lot of fun.

He does that flexing of his biceps in this film, just like he did in the GI ep Diogonnes Won't You Please Go Home. Love this.

Alan also does that trick with he alternately flexes his left bicep and his right bicep so it's like puppets having a conversation.
