sorry folks, But I have to disagree on the Steve H. thing, I wish that Fremantle (assuming if they had a brain in which they do not) would have picked Cedric as the host of Feud than Steve "Phony" Harvey in 2010. because I like Cedric personality on the short-lived NBC summer affair It's Worth What? he wasn't too "ghetto" on that show unlike "you know who" is on Feud.

It's perfectly O.K. that you feel that way. Not everyone thinks that "Ghetto" is always appropriate in any situation. Not everyone is familar or even comfortable with street terms and slang in what should be a family show. It's not a criticism about race. . . .it's a criticism about BEHAVIOR that a lot of people have a problem with.

The same with me. He has breathed new life into the show and has been the key to a ratings renaissance that saved Family Feud from cancellation. He is also a very funny host who defies the stereotype of stand up comedians hosting game shows. He reacts to the contestants, even when they give an out of left field response. Sometimes when I watch the reruns on GSN, I find myself LOL.

As for Cedric the Entertainer taking over Millionaire. Can he also spark a revival of the long-running game show like his fellow King of Comedy? Give him a chance in the fall and see what happens.

Richard Dawson is my favorite host of Feud with Richard Karn a close 2nd and I'm warming up to Steve Harvey, but as for the rest, John O'Hurley was OK, Louie Anderson is the worst and Ray Combs was overrated and he let the families go out of control with all of the yelling and screaming @ each other

I thought Ray Combs is the best in my opinion

Richard Dawson was great too but seeing Richard Dawson kiss every woman's hand on every episode has gotten very old and annoying

This is the reason why I like this message board out of all the others, because when I tell the truth about something like this I don't get slandered or anything like that. and i'm really speaking from the bottom of my heart that I respect and appreciate it. I wish all of the other message boards follow the same suit but they never will unlike here.

but for Disney-ABC's sake I hope they don't learn from Fremantle and make Millionaire put itself on life support unlike what Fremantle did to Feud. in other words make the questions so very dirty and sexually induced that it trying to be a desperate sell-out for ratings.

and of course I don't hate all African-American game show host. I like Wayne Brady when he did Don't Forget The Lyrics on FOX in 2007 and
he's still cool on Let's Make A Deal on CBS if though I don't know why would he shave his head bald. also i'm really not a fan of LMAD no offense to him and all

Sherri Shepherd who took over GSN's The Newlywed Game from Carnie Wilson's throne in 2010 is ok even though i'm not a fan of here or TNG itself.

Jaleel White (a.k.a Steve Urkel) who hosted Sci-Fi *ahem* excuse me Sy-Fy Channel's Total Blackout is ok.

and the much later Teck Holmes who semi hosted Cartoon Network's short-lived revival of Hole In The Wall is ok as well. good host terrible international format.

but Harvey however want's to think he's all hood and thinks that Feud should be put on BET and it should not be. The Feud was for every race
to watch. it doesn't matter if you were white, black, hispanic etc.

I mean this is what Richard Dawson believe in when he did his speech for the 1985 finale of his ended run on ABC and in syndication and all the other host and formats followed suit except Harvey and I believe what Fremantle and its current host is doing to the Feud is very wrong it should be just for two colors alone (Black & White) it should be for everybody to watch and not just be a desperate suck up for ratings. this is the reason why I stopped watching in 2010 because not only for that reason alone but also because it
stereotyping black people that all of us are in the hood and not very educated selling drugs all the time and stuff like that and not all african-americans follow that. even to this day we still stereotype people and it's
really sickens me that America still does that to this day.

Also I think that Harvey is more absorbed about himself than the other contestants and the 30 year old format I mean does every game show no matter if it's new or classic should learn that "the contestant should be more important than the host"?

I watched it all the time when Richard Dawson and Ray Combs were the hosts. I don't think any of the newer hosts are as good as them.
