As the series ends, Harris retires from the police force and becomes a writer. How well do you think he did?
He seemed very bright and articulate. Having felt the same way as an attorney till I changed some things, I think he didn't want to admit it but that he felt classic burnout as a policeman; he probably enjoyed it a lot at first but then as time went on it was just not his thing anymore. That leads me to wonder if he ever did anything besides what his last book would be on. I actually have him doing so in a short part of my crossover story with "Family Affair" - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8908956/...l-Have-Forever - in which Buffy at least is helped even if the actress wasn't. In fact, in this prequel, though it's only 1973 I show he's already thinking like a writer as he tries to come up with just the right adjective to describe her sigh.
