Have there been any commercials for any of the news shows in syndication? In NY, I haven't seen any for Just Shoot Me, Steve Harvey, or Mad TV. I have only seen one for Everybody Loves Raymond. If anyone knows what station Steve Harvey is going to in NY, please post it.

I have a list here of all shows coming to syndication, in parenthesis
I have listed what channel it is coming on in NY. Can anyone list the
channels for the ones I don't have?

The following new comedies and dramas will enter into Syndication this
Fall:

Everybody Loves Raymond (Kingworld)(WPIX)

Just Shoot Me (Columbia Tristar)(WNYW)

The Steve Harvey Show (Columbia Tristar)(Rumored to be on WNYW)

Malcolm and Eddie (Columbia Tristar)

Two Guys and a Girl

King of the Hill (Twentieth)

MadTV (Telepictures) (TNN Cable)

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer (Twentieth)(fX Cable)

The Practice (Twentieth) (fX Cable)

TALK

Ananda: Ananda Lewis has been an MTV veejay and BET personality. Her
show will be issue oriented and focus on a single topic each day.
(King World Productions)

Iyanla: A regular guest on the Oprah Winfrey show, lawyer and author
Iyanla Vanzant is marketed to be the next Oprah. Barbara Walters is
executive producer. (Buena Vista Television)

Talk or Walk: Host Michael Baisden and the studio audience give their
opinions on whether a resolution is possible for people that have
reached a turning point in their relationship. At the end of the show,
the guest decides to either talk or walk. (Tribune)

The Other Half: Male version of "The View" portraying the world of
women through the eyes of men. Hosted by Dick Clark, Danny Bonaduce
(Partridge Family fame), Dr. Jan Adams and Steve Santagati. The
producers are hoping to attract male daytime viewers. (NBC
Entertainment)

REALITY BASED

Crossing Over with John Edward: John Edward is a medium who
communicates with people from the "other side" and relays their
message to family members in the studio audience. (Studios USA)

Shipmates: Two people go on a blind date cruise aboard a Carnival
Cruise Lines ship. (Columbia Tristar)

RELATIONSHIP

Looks like everyone is jumping onto the relationship band wagon. Many
of these programs will air primarily in Late Night.

Elimidate: One contestant is faced with four potential romantic
partners, and round by round, three of the four date possibilities are
eliminated…hence the name. The one remaining is the "ideal"
date. (Warner Brothers)

Fifth Wheel: Four women (or men) try to "survive" as they date one man
(or women) at the same time. (Tribune Entertainment)

Rendez-View: Two celebrities (different each episode) offer running
commentary as the audience watches a blind date unfold. Hosted by
comedian Greg Proops (Whose Line Is It Anyway) and author and dating
expert Ellen Ladowsky. (Paramount)

NEWS/MAGAZINE

Hot Ticket: Weekly movie and entertainment review show. E!
Entertainment’s Todd Newton will host, with movie critic Leonard
Maltin as key contributor. (Paramount)

GAME SHOWS

Game shows will continue to hope for a comeback this Fall.

Card Sharks: The show will be hosted by Pat Bullard. (Pearson
Television)

ACTION ADVENTURE (ALL WEEKLIES)

Mutant X: Tails the exploits of a group of human mutants bound
together by the bond of genetically engineered powers. (Tribune
Entertainment)

Tracker: An alien jailbreak leads to a group of intergalactic felons
settling in among the citizens of Chicago. Only Tracker can return
them to justice. Stars Adrian Paul (Highlander). (Mercury
Entertainment and Lion’s Gate)

September will be a busy month, especially the week of the 17th.
It's quite a pileup, with "Card Sharks," "Talk or Walk," "Elimidate,"
"Mad TV" and the off-network "The Steve Harvey Show" and "Just Shoot
Me" all bowing at once. The long-awaited syndication of "Everybody
Loves Raymond" begins the week of the 24th. "Buffy" and "The
Practice,"
along with "The Bravest," begin on the 29th. The first of October
will
see the debuts of "King of the Hill," along with a weird effort called
"Mutant X."

Hang Time- NBC Teen Comedy. it started way before and is much better than city guys.

Felicity- my fave drama

dawsons creek- also a fave of mine.

just shoot me- kewl show.

thats it.

Desining Women-
" You wouldn't liek any kind of work, would you Suzanne?" " No, i wouldn't like that!"

"Chimps, I'm Working with Chimps."- Amber, CLueless.

That is surprising JTC about Steve Harvey. Seinfeld was doing good ratings at that timeslot, too.

Maybe that time is wrong, because I heard 'Harvey' was rumored at 5PM on WNYW...

Still no time on Just Shoot Me.

I am curious, Pavanbadal, where you heard this rumor about Harvey at 5 pm. It sounds very logical as compared to 11 pm. You seem to be very knowledgable about sitcoms in syndication in NY. Thank you.

I heard that from someone else's post somewhere, can't seem to remember where though, lol.
I'd think 5PM would be better than 11PM.

Yes this is WNYW as well, so I guess 3 comedies this fall on WNYW. But I think 'King' starts on Oct 1. While 'Harvey' and 'Shoot Me' starts on Sept 17.

I don't know about that Madness, Seinfeld's ratings dropped when it changed to other networks this April. It went from #1 sitcom to around #4 behind Friends, Frasier and Spin City.

The only reason is say King starts on the 17th is because the FOX or WB in San Antonio has the listings in advance and it says King of the Hill starts the 17th. That could be wrong though. I wonder what shows WNYW will be dropping this Fall. They are also getting a new court show called Texas Justice, while Queen latifah and national enquirer are canceled.

Hmmm...I heard on a FOX 5 commercial that Seinfeld was doing good on WNYW a few months ago. But I guess it wouldn't be smart if WNYW said ....

"Seinfeld, #4 behind Spin City!" Just doesn't sound like a catchy campaign!lol
