I was too young too watch it during its original run on NBC, so I discovered it when it came to N@N in September.
There are other countries in the world besides the US - Did you know that...? ![]() Took the liberty to add a few other choices to the poll in order not to discriminate against those of us not living in the US... /Daniel |

Same here!
I'm really glad I discovered, it, it's a great show! ![]() I found it on there because my Mom wtached it a few times and I saw it too. At first when they finished the opening marathon, I thought they had only been showing it for a week, and I was kinda sad. Thankfully, I then found out about the 10:00 showings!

I don't remember what year it was but it was early when I remember watching it on NBC. It was my favorite show when I was growing up, and it was on at 8:30 when I was supposed to be in bed. Now it's on at 1:00 am when I am at work. It needs a better time slot.

I didn't discover Family Ties until I saw it in January 2001 on Vision TV. Unfortunately, it doesn't air on that station anymore, so I haven't seen it since last spring. I did tape some episodes though when it aired on that station. I thought it was a great show. It's too bad some shows that air on most stations now aren't as good as Family Ties.

In the 80's during it's original run on NBC. Episodes I distinctly watching were the ones where Elise went into labor, and some from the last 2 seasons.

I always remember watching every Sunday night followed by Day by Day. I still can remember watching the series finale and I remember the cast coming on stage at the end to bow.

I started watching Family Ties when it was first aired on nickatnite. It is my fav show, and I was soooo dissopointed when they took it off at 10:00 and put Cheers in there. I think Family Ties is such a better show! I miss when it was on at a time when I could watch it. Well, I guess all I have to hope for is if somehow they switch the airing times of Family Ties and Cheers. I hope they do, or at least show it at 11:00 or something. Well, thats my protest, hehe! family Ties is definatly my fav show of all times, and I wish I saw it when it first aired (I was only 2 yo when it ended).
Well, see you all later! Alexis |

I began watching Family Ties in 1986 and I watched it from 1986 until the show ended. In my life I have only seen "They Can't Take That Away From Me" once and that was when it was originally airing on NBC. I have seen MJF's famous scene one and 3/4 times. When it originally aired on NBC, part of the scene when it aired on Fox in reruns (yup I missed most of it and just happened to be flipping the channels and there was the end of the scene airing on Fox with me missing another chance to tape it!) and part of the scene on a classic TV moments highlights show hosted by Dick Clark I think (wouldn't be as satisfactory to have taped that instead of the actual episode and the full scene). As you can see I am uneasy about catching it the next time it airs on NAN. The last time it aired on NAN back in December I believe I wasn't aware that it was that episode and fell asleep while I was watching not realizing that I had missed another opportunity to tape the scene until the next day when I reviewed the episode guide. The episode should air again in early March unless NAN screws me over as they've been known to do. Sorry if I got off topic but that scene is my favorite Family Ties moment and since I haven't seen it in so long I am a little edgey and I can't wait unitl it airs again so I can finally tape it and have it forever.

If I remember correctly it is after he let's go of both girls at the end of They Can't Take That Away From Me Part 2 and closes that chapter of his life. He has a few moments sitting on the couch in the family room I believe and walks out the door to a standing ovation. If I am thinking of a different episode someone please make that known to me! I know for certain that it is not the final two part episode cause I do have those on tape.
