We've had a thread devoted to naming 2 sit-com or tv series stars that starred together in another series.
How about naming 2 sit-com or series' stars that also appeared together in movies (un-related to their tv series): Andy Griffith & Don Knotts (The Andy Griffith Show) were both in No Time For Sergeants Bob Denver & Jim Backus (Gilligan's Island) were in A Private's Affair. ( Another poster pointed this out, which inspired this thread) |

Do they have to have shared any scenes together, or at least be in the same movie?

Well, in that case, here's one example:
Mary Tyler Moore and Ed Asner were in Change of Habit (they never had any scenes together). It was Elvis Presley's 31st and final motion picture. |

Barbara Eden & Larry Hagman were in a TV movie in 1971, but I forget its name. I remember it was a mystery though, and the girl who played Bess Lindstrom on THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW was also in it.
Lorreta Swit and McLean Stevenson were ina TV movie called SHIRTS/SKINS. I think they played a married couple. |

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost starred in the sitcom Spaced and have appeared together in the movies: Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, Paul, and the upcoming The World's End.
Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer starred together in the sitcom As Time Goes By were both in Tomorrow Never Dies. Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson from The Young Ones were in Guest House Paradiso together. Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer both from The Young Ones were in The Supergrass together(and so were Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders who would go on to star in the comedy skit show French & Saunders) |

While not a sitcom, I Spy stars Robert Culp and Bill Cosby starred together in a private eye movie called Hickey and Boggs.
I think Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie were in a movie together called "Don't Worry, We'll Think of a Title" -- Richard Deacon was also in it, making three Dick Van Dyke Show alumni in this film. |
