Anyone know if the show is available on video or dvd?
Where can I get a copy? I can't find any info on this great show! I loved the Pena family! Just like mine, with the crazy Abuelo's and all! |

Wow, I am glad to see I am not the only one looking for these. Can someone please tell me where I can buy them? I want them all! I just can't get enough of the silly antics on this show.

I miss this show!
A local station in L.A. used to air it, but I never bothered to record it. I'm not sure, but I think that Galavision still airs it. |

Que Pasa U.S.A airs 2 episodes on Saturdays at 11:00 and 11:30 A.M. Central Time on the cable channel Galavision!!!!
I am glad everybody remembers that show from the 1970's!!! It originally aired on PBS Stations from 1978 to 1980 and has been periodically been rerun not only on PBS Stations but on religious stations as well!!! That show really cracks me up,especially the grandparents!!! My favorites episodes are where Grandma thinks she isn't wanted and thinks they are putting her in a nursing home and the one where Carmen and her friends and Grandma go to the TV studio and Carmen and her friends audition for a soap opera and Abuela wants to go to the rest room and she goes unto the set of a soap opera and gets everybody upset!!! Both are hilarious episodes and the whole show is hilarious as well!!!! |

Anybody have any cast updates? There's not much @ IMDB. They have nothing on the actress that played Joe's sister and it seems her friend (Violetta?) acted in bit parts until 1991 then fell off the face of the earth. "Joe", of course went on to "Scarface" and then smaller roles until he became the Latino Steve Guttenberg.

QUE PASA U.S.A.! Well to answer one of your questions....I have an update on my namesake "Violeta". She is alive and well, got married in 1994 and she and her hubby, Mel, own a Cuban Restaurant in Montrose, CA. The Restaurant is called "Havana Beach Cafe", serving Cuban Cuisine and has a special "German Menu" . If anyone is going to CA let me know so I'll post the address. The "Abuelos" , I think past away in '93, I heard. Pepe Pena was on a TV sitcom playing a grandfather role! Yep, the years have crept on him. Juana does theatre in NYC at a Spanish Playhouse. Wonder where's Carmencita?
