Default Roseanne Opening Credits

Hello everyone, have a question for you. Why are the opening credits on the DVD releases different from what they are on tv? Noticed a major difference in season 5 opening where the family is eating pizza, and the one i had always seen was when becky handed roseanne a piece of pizza with alot of cheese and she took a bite and laughed, this is not what is on the dvd's. Can anyone explain?

What do you mean? Those are the same as they are on TV. The one on the DVD's are longer (Extended Version as they originally aired on ABC) while on TV they the shorter version of the opening for reruns. Same opening but shorter. It like that with all opening Credits of every TV Show.

Pavan's right: you need glasses. The opening credits are LONGER on the DVDs, as it specifically says above.

The only season that had the shorter opening credits on DVD was the Anchor Bay version of season 1, but Mill Creek fixed that when they re-released it.

Its best to just ignore what tvfactfan says, he/she is a tad extreme when it comes to spotting "edits" on dvds. (Season 1 dvd originally suffered from syndicated, but the Mill Creek re-release is near-uncut, seasons 8-9 suffered from music edits, not sure if the re-releases will fix this, seasons 2-7 were uncut except for an original airing ending of "Of Ice and Men" which had the Conners watching the Jackie Thomas Show, this was replaced with a blooper reel in reruns)

Seasons 1-6 have shorter and longer intros, the longer intro roughly 01:10 and the shorter about 45 seconds. The shorter ones are used in syndicated reruns to leave more room for commercials, but the episodes were originally aired with longer intros (most of them, a few had shorter intros to begin with).

Its likely that tvfactfan will comment this and claim some episodes are still edited, I find its best to just add this person/troll to ignore list.

No the OP is a f*cking idiot because I assumed he was saying it was shorter on the DVD. What person would not know why opening credits are longer on the DVD than it is on TV LAND?

^ That's what I thought, too, when I read the first post.

Anyway, I don't think I'd ever buy the DVDs either. I've heard some bad stuff, too.
