in the goodbye alice hello ep after the kids acted like jerks to her and she made up that excuse about rinning her uncle;s dress shop and left the brady family for a week do you think she holed up in her friend kay;s apartment the whole time or do you think she took the waitress job but rented a place to stay of her own i think she stayed with kay and that kay turned on the extra nasty treatment to the kids because of how they had been to alice what do you think?

This question has perplexed me for at least 30 years now and I gotta tell ya....I STILL don't have a clue where Alice spent that week.

They are usually handy to stay in for short times and not that expensive. I doubt she got her own place.

I agree,

Kay had a cold personality, but as she said, "Getting too attached can break your heart." This could imply that she also had an emotionally upsetting experience in either her own family, or working for another family that made her act the way she did. We do know Alice and Kay are friends because she talks to Kay about a Soap Opera she is watching in the "Amateur Night" (a.k.a Silver Platters) episode.

I think Alice stayed in a motel or hotel for a few days, had so much pain and difficulty without the Brady's in her life, that she took the job at the Diner soon after, and stayed in a motel or hotel at night.
