How do you spend your money? Squanderly or Savingly?

(btw, I know that those are not real words, LOL.)

I tend to try to save.

However, there are some things I refuse to compromise on. Like for example, I tend to buy generic food at the grocery because usually it is just as good but costs lots less. However, I refuse to buy certain food generic, because they just are not as good that way, such as cream cheese or sour cream.

Also, since I'm saving all the time, I tend to splurge every once in awhile, if I feel I deserve it. Like if I did really well on an exam or something, I'll order pizza, or buy a CD or something like that.

I spend it when I want too. I have like 100 bucks saved up. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it.

I save my money to the point where my friends tell me to go out and buy something just to prove I'm really a normal teenager and not some oldy trapped in a teens body.
I don't even spend other peoples money when they give it to me to buy myself something...

Is something wrong with me? Hmph

...back to my hole to ponder why I never spend my money...

Not at all! It shows you've got thrift... or an unerring fear of going broke.

I save money until I find something I want. Then I'll grab it.

For the sake of keeping my self-esteem, I'll say I have thrift

I tend to save my money usually I when I go shopping with my parents I put my hide my things in the cart then when we get to the cash register the lady already rung them up so my mom pays for them. Our since my dad co signed on my credit card I use that alot because he usually pays the bill because he buys more with it, But right now I'm getting pretty poor because College is ripping me off.

I save enough to buy gas and pay my credit card bills, then I squander the rest on tapes and DVDs.

I spend my money on necessities first (read: bills, gas, and food), but the rest of it's gone soon after I get my paycheck, as I'm a compulsive spender.

My DVD and CD collections are getting larger and larger all the time.

It's a good thing I get paid every week now, instead of every second week.

I get paid monthly so I have to make sure that I have enough money to last till my next payday. It's never a problem though cos I don't have a huge about of financial responsibility. Once I've paid my rent, my traveling expenses (I buy a monthly ticket from the bus company) and my satalite TV subscription I'm pretty much free to buy whatever I want.
I never let my bank account get overdrawn. What I try to do is this - say that my bank balance is Ł700 just before I get my paycheck. The next time, before I get my next paycheck, I try to make sure that the balance is at lest Ł780 or something. This way it means that I'm building up my money all the time so when I wanna buy something big, like another hi-fi or whatever, I've already got the cash in my account.
I do tend to go a wee bit overboard sometimes though. Usually, the day I get paid I'll go out and buy at least one CD and about 3 or 4 DVD's which my mother is forever nagging me about. I bet she's just jealous cos she doesn't make as much money as me!!
