Larry Manetti To Recur on "Hawaii Five-0"
Keck's Exclusives: "Magnum, P.I." Vet Guest Stars on "Hawaii Five-0"
Jan 24, 2013 by William Keck CBS's "Hawaii Five-0" has recruited a key player from the network's other vintage Hawaii-set crime drama, "Magnum P.I.", to play a recurring role. Larry Manetti, 65, who played Magnum's slick Rick from 1980 to '88, will debut in an upcoming episode titled 'Pa' ani' as local lounge legend Nicky 'The Kid' Demarco. Back in the day, Nicky was mentored by the one and only Frank Sinatra. Sounding suspiciously similar to his old "Magnum" role, Manetti's elegantly dressed character owns a nightclub called The Tiki Lounge. And it just so happens that both McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Danny's (Scott Caan) fathers used to watch 'the Kid' perform. During the hour, Manetti's character will assist the Five-0 team with a case as well as croon the Sinatra standard, 'I Got You Under My Skin'. All that's missing: a cameo from Magnum himself, "Blue Bloods" star Tom Selleck! The episode will begin shooting next week for a likely late-February air date. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Ex...i-1059491.aspx |
