Default Who has seen Fol originally on NBC?

I was just wondering how many people started watching FOL when it originally aired on NBC? For example, I got started watching it on N@N. I didn't know what this show was, and since I had nothing better to do, I decided to watch the whole ep (It was the first one) Boy, am I glad I didn't change the channel, or else I woulnd't be here! Anyone else got hooked when it aired on USA or N@N?

I watched it all the time during its original run on NBC and loved it, but I didn't give it much thought after that... until I saw it again on N@N. Watching it on N@N brought back all the memories. Now I love it even more.

I used to have to sneak and watch it when it was on NBC. My dad did not like the name of the show and he thought it was all about sex. Finally, I convinced him that it wasn't, so he watched it. It was the one with Natalie's "bad reputation." I was of course still not allowed to watch it. I kept trying to watch it on the upstairs tv so my dad wouldn't know. Then, finally around season 6 he found out our minister let his kids watch it, so he figured it wasn't that bad. I watched all of the last seasons without having to be so sneaky. Believe it or not, my dad actually became a big Nancy McKeon fan.

Ditto for me. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I saw the later seasons on NBC and then saw it in syndication in the early 90's and then basically forgot about it. Then I caught it again on USA Network a couple of times at my cousin's house (I didn't have cable until late 1997). Then when it came to Nick at Nite I really began to watch it.

See what Nick at Nite needs to do is get those good 70's and 80's shows that are not on anywhere. That way we'll watch them. Family Ties, Three's Company, All in the Family, The Jeffersons and The Cosby Show can all be still be seen on local stations throughout the United States. Now if they began airing, The Hogan Family, Small Wonder, Gimme a Break, Webster, Silver Spoons, 227, Good Times or One Day at a Time the same thing would happen to those shows as did with The Facts of Life. People will discover or in my case re-discover classic TV gems.

I remember watching it on NBC when I was very small but I didn't pay much attention to it. Then I started watching it on Nick-at-Nite. That is when I started to love it very much.

You are what I would call a 'true lifer!' Risking punishment in order to see FOL! I'm glad your dad finally decided that you could watch it in peace and even better-became a Nancy fan!

As for myself, I began watching it during it's run on N@N. The first episode I saw was of the first season and it was the Flood episode. I didn't enjoy it at all and immediately turned it off, vowing never to watch that dumb, girly show again. A week or so later I saw "New Girl" and fell in love. I related to the four girls immediately and was hooked forever. I've been taping and posting ever since!

I saw it when it was on NBC and actually have the original Facts of Life Down Under Movie from NBC. I wasn't forunate enough to have a VCR back when it first came on. Around 85 I had my first child so I didn't get to watch it like I had up til then. But when it came back on Nick at Nite it brought back a lot of memories. My youngest is the one that actually found it on there. SUre wished I had a VCR back when it first came on I would have all the episodes on tape. lol. But being a teenager myself my mom didn't think a VCR was that important. LOL. I sure do as a mom. lol..
