Default Did you ever have a TV show ...

that when it was originally on, or many years ago, you were ambivalent about but NOW YOU JUST LOVE. I have two. The first is Leave It To Beaver. I'm just mad about it now and have been burning it to DVDs from Antenna TV. There are so many things I like about it now. For starters, how nice Wally was, his goony friends who may be creeps but are downright funny (i.e. dumbo Lumpy and brown noser BS artist Eddie). The sensitivity of Ward and June. And of course the Beav himself. I really like that off screen they were close to each other and how appreciative they were about doing the show. None of that whiny boo hoo bullsh** about how it typecast them. And I JUST LOVE how Jerry is such a kick-a*s spokesperson for diabetes and for keeping it tightly controlled. As a mild type 2, he's singing to the choir. (My goal is to keep the progression of the condition glacier like.) I hope I get meet him someday.

My second show is That Girl. Marlo is cute as a button as impish but kind-hearted Ann. And I'm gaga about Don too - the man invented chivalry, The bf every girl dreams of. And of course the charming scenery of my town in the late 60s/early 70s.

Do you have shows like this too, and if you do, what are yours?

I really disliked Full House when it first started but My kids liked it. I thought it was so cheesy! But although I still think that it's still as cheesy as ever I like it! Jodie Sweetin was so cute and talented!Especially when she was very small at the beginning. Not to mention Uncle Jesse! What can I say?

Roseanne and Seinfeld.

Never watched either of these shows on ABC and NBC but after being introduced to the shows in syndication I can't get enough of them

Monk is a good choice for me. I never saw it when it originally aired on USA (no cable), and I didn't know what to make of it at first when MyNetworkTV began airing the reruns. Now I just love it. There's rarely an episode I see that I don't laugh out loud. Tony Shaloub was letter-perfect in the title role.

I'm sure this will be a huge shock to everyone but I can't even remember watching Frasier-ever. I always hated Cheers (I like it now), and when Frasier started, I refused to watch it because I figured it was going to be like Cheers. How wrong I was!

Home Improvement. I remember it being on when I was a kid and I was less than thrilled about watching it when my parents had it on. Years later when it was on Nick At Nite I watched it and got into it and love it.

I never had HBO so I didn't get into Entourage until last year about the same time as the series finale

George Lopez. I dismissed it as a stupid sitcom when it came on ABC without really giving it a chance. I don't think I even watched a single episode before judging it. Then, when it came on N@N, I fell in love with the show and couldn't believe I had missed this gem in its original run!!

Same here!!! I didn't hate Cheers I just never could get into it. Then when Frasier started I figured it would be the same. So then Frasier started winning all these Emmys and I thought maybe I should give this show a chance. The funny thing is whenever a Cheers character showed up on Frasier, it was some of the funniest episodes, especially the one where Diane shows up. That episode is hilarious!!!

I'll go with Mr. Ed. I thought it was just a goofy show, which it is kind of is, but it's funny. That horse had some funny lines. Roseanne is another one. I thought I'd hate it, but loved it when I watched it. Now, I can take or leave it. I don't like Roseanne Barr.

I'm not fond of Roseanne Barr either. But Roseanne Conner cracks me up!
IMO Jackie( Laurie Metcalf) is the best character on the show! Funny Funny!!Roseanne and Jackie remind me of my sister and me when we were younger adults!I was the older married sister and she had her share of problems then!
