Question Cheers finale part 2 (Any opinions?)

I've heard from alot of people and they all say they were dissapointed with the way Cheers ended. ( Especially the fact that Sam and Diane didn't end up together) With the show Frasier still going strong, wouldn't it be great to see an episode where Frasier returns to the bar? It could be held for sweeps or even perhaps the final episode of Frasier. I think most of the show's stars would be available, with the possible exception of Ted Danson (Becker). I think it would be nice to see the bar and what the characters are up to now. I know this is a stretch, but how about having Diane return as well and have Sam and Diane finally reveal their love for one another. It would also be interesting to see the stars of Frasier interact with the Cheers gang. Such as Niles correct everything that Cliff says, or the sexual tension between Sam and Roz. Most of all though I would like to see the Cheers gang back together for one more last call. What about it???

that would be a REALLY good idea. Frasier i think is signed for 2 more years under contract.. and that would be a good end to the show.. ya cant 4get your roots! okay that was stupid. lol but yea they really should do that.. and about the series finale.. it was kinda a tease for me to bring shelley long back and not have her and sam get back together... they made them seem like they were imperfectly perfect for eachother for 5 years, so of course the majority of the people were gunna want them together, such as me.. lol, and its true love.. believe me, they drove eachother crazy, it wasnt a fake romance love.. alot of people can relate to it.. and yea imagine carla with the father? hmm tt u guys later

I'll bet Ted Danson would be available. Television is supposed to have a much more flexible schedule than theatre or movies, and he wouldn't have to travel far--"Becker" and "Frasier" are filmed very close to each other at Paramount Studios. And I'd love to see what the gang at Cheers has been up to for the last ten years!

I wouldn't want Frasier to end the show that way, unless they also ended it with Frasier and Lilith remarrying. That's my big hopes for the finale of Frasier... a reunion of the two! They have to do it... *big tears*... they just have to!!! LOL

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!

I kinda dissagree with that. Frasier and Lillith were a fun couple, but didn't have the MAGIC of Sam and Diane. Both Cheers and Frasier established several times that Frasier and Lillith were miserable as a couple. In the case of Sam and Diane, it still is sort of left open. The two wanted to be together but at the same time didn't want to give up their careers. Who says a Hollywood writer has to live in LA? Besides, do you remember the episode of Frasier when Diane reappears for the first time? She's put together a play based on the people at Cheers. Who did Frasier catch Diane kissing? The actor who played the part of Sam. Could it be that Diane got caught up with the actor's portrayal of Sam (Her one true love?)
