Brian Morrison aka the 1st Phillip - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone know why Brian Morrison left the show or was let go of by the producers? I liked his portrayal better than the second kid Kraig somebody who played Phillip during the last season.

The second kid looked a couple years younger than Morrison anyway. When the show started in 1972 he was only 10 years old and had hit puberty by the time he left in 1977.

I've always wondered that myself. Maybe I'll ask Adrienne Barbeau on her FB fan page. She's pretty good about answering fans' questions.

Did you ever hear back? I've heard various theories but never anything concrete. Not that Phillip was ever a major character but I liked the first Phillip and couldn't stand the second actor.

According the IMDB Brian Morrison is still in showbiz as a special effects engineer (although IMDB occasionally merges the credits of people with generic names, I have a friend who can attest to having some production credits on his IMDB profile for films he's never heard of, lol).

I don't think the Phillip character really fit on this show at all since it was 95% Adult situations
