Deborah Shelton and Cathy Podewell Return for J.R.'s Funeral
Keck's Exclusives: "Dallas" Welcomes Back Mandy Winger and Cally Harper
Jan 15, 2013 by William Keck J.R. Ewing is about to be laid to rest at Southfork, but not before getting one last visit from two of the sexy, big-haired bimbos he romanced back in the day. Deborah Shelton, who from 1984-1987 played J.R.'s No. 1 mistress Mandy Winger (or as Sue Ellen preferred to call her, "that Winger tramp"), has accepted an invitation from TNT's "Dallas" to say a few words at the memorial service Bobby and Sue Ellen will throw for the departed Ewing patriarch. Shelton, 64, has been appearing in lower-budget films, with her last high-profile TV appearance a 2008 episode of "Nip/Tuck". Sue Ellen will perhaps be a bit more accepting of another funeral attendee: J.R.'s young, country-hick wife Cally Harper Ewing, played by Cathy Podewell from 1988-1991. Podewell, 47, last appeared in a 1995 episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger". Other members of the extended Ewing family who will be paying their respects include J.R.'s brother Gary Ewing (Ted Shackelford), half brother Ray Krebbs (Steve Kanaly), and niece Lucy Ewing (Charlene Tilton). And don't be surprised if J.R.'s nemesis Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval) makes an unwelcome appearance before the coffin closes. "Dallas'" second season kicks off with a two-hour premiere on Monday, January 28. J.R.'s memorial is slated to air March 11. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Ex...r-1059155.aspx |

At any rate, it'll be great to see these two beautiful ladies again...even if just for one episode. Many of J.R.'s former mistresses (their characters, that is) are no longer with us...Kristen, Julie, etc.. |

I have to say that I'm impressed by this. Hopefully they'll remember that Cally did have JR's son.

I wonder if Sasha Mitchell will turn up as JR's other illegitimate son.

Cally had J.R.'S son in 1991...I'm sure Cally told the kid he was a Ewing..I'm sure he will be at the funeral with his mother. I Really hope Donna Mills attend the funeral...After all J.R. really liked her. They slept togather..and he really liked her as his sister-in-law..After all Donna was more like J.R. Than we thought. She had power and sex appeal to get what she wanted..And that what J.R. liked. |

It would be awesome if Donna Mills came on for a guest spot. Does anyone think she'd do it?

Wouldn't it have been interesting if he was JR's son? |
