Scott Foley Becomes "Scandal" Series Regular
"Scandal" Exclusive: Scott Foley Lands Major Arc
by Michael Ausiello 1/15/13 Scott Foley has booked a return trip to Shondaland. The former "Grey’s Anatomy" actor is joining the cast of Shonda Rhimes’ latest ABC hit "Scandal", TVLine has learned exclusively. Details on Foley’s role are being kept under the tightest of wraps, but sources confirm that he’s on board for a major arc to air towards the end of the show’s current second season. Shortly after Foley wrapped his two-season recurring stint on "Grey’s" in late 2011, Rhimes raved to TVLine, “We’re so in love with Scott Foley. "Scandal" Scoop: Scott Foley Promoted to Series Regular in Season 3
Jun 14, 2013 by Natalie Abrams Scott Foley is staying in the Shondaland family. Foley has been promoted to series regular for the third season of "Scandal", TVGuide.com has learned. Foley joined the series in the second half of Season 2 as Jake Ballard, an apparent love interest for Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) who turned out to be spying on her for the President (Tony Goldwyn). It was later revealed that he was also a member of B613, a CIA Black Ops division that threw him in a dungeon-like hole in the closing moments of the season finale because he went against orders in regards to Olivia. However, his new series regular status should give fans hope for Jake's future. "I'm thrilled to join such a talented, enthusiastic and professional group of people," Foley said in a statement. "Shonda [Rhimes] and company have created a troupe of layered complex characters and to be able to be part of that is both exciting and humbling." "Scandal" returns to ABC this fall. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Scandal-...3-1066646.aspx |
