Yea I saw that. While I'm not a Ryan fan, he did do a lot with basically a bunch of scrubs down the stretch. Someone should fire our offensive coordinator who couldn't get the offense to do anything in the first half through most of the season. I think Jerry is using Ryan as a scapegoat.

About the only DC out there that I like would be Lovie Smith. I doubt he'd come to Dallas though. |

Early this season, Jones had stated flat-out that he has Super Bowl on his mind, but it's hard to reconcile that with where Dallas is at. I just don't see them getting there without a major housecleaning of players, and even then it will take a couple of years -- with very high draft picks following bad-record seasons.
I think Jones realizes they're going to have to do something drastic, but it's not going to be easy to (for example) cut Romo loose. I'm not holding Romo responsible at all, it's just that the team seems to be treading water right now. Generally veterans tend to get the axe when a pro team decides to rebuild around a nucleus of their best young players. So those are my comments on Big D. I think before, Jones thought he had the players to carry them. But now, it may be time to "go young." |

If Romo doesn't do anything in 3 years then I don't see why they will hold on to a 36 year old failure |

Romo isn't going anywhere unfortunately. He's going to be extended. I think he's part of the problem but I'm in the minority. I think Dallas is too big for him. He might do better in Arizona or Buffalo.

I think they all know that it's an elite organization, with an off-the-hook stadium and world-famous cheerleaders. They know about the Super Bowl championships.
The difference between Dallas and other franchises is that the Cowboys have tremendous resources at their disposal, along with a following that is far larger than the regional ones most teams enjoy. For example, I know people from Georgia and Mississippi who've never even visited Texas, yet they're Cowboys fans. It's just a matter of time until Dallas reenters the playoff picture - but IMO, they need to begin a rebuilding phase to get there. |
