Nancy Walker on "Bridget Loves Bernie" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

While watching my Bridget Loves Bernie (1972 One Season Wonder) dvd set today, I discovered Nancy Walker appeared as Bernie's aunt. A Jewish "Ma" on Rhoda, and a Jewish aunt on Bridget Loves Bernie, and Nancy Walker isn't even Jewish!

Nancy was very active in those years. For example, she had joined the cast of Family Affair in its final season (1970-71) as a housekeeper. I suppose one could assert that she played a Jewish woman on there too, as her son was a doctor (or about to become one) -- and statistics will reveal that the percentage of MDs who are of the Jewish faith is significantly higher than their US population stats.

I realize that's a stretch, but there seems to be a great pride in the son's profession that may lend credence to what I've stated.
