Watched the episode tonight when Bob's wife pretended to be Barbara Walters during a role play. Damm, she has been in the business a long time to be mentioned on a sitcom in the 70's.

And still going strong in 2013, amazing

I actually remember when she was on the Today Show. That had to have been in the early 70's. In the mid to late 70's she became the first woman anchor of a network news show when she co-anchored the ABC Nightly News with Harry Reasoner.

she maybe the only person who was mentioned on a 70's sitcom that is still working in the business.

I also remember her on THE TODAY SHOW and her short lived stint with Harry Reasoner as anchors the ABC NIGHTLY NEWS.

She is 83 years old now and has been in the tv business about 60 years now. TV Guide had an article about her from 1953, "Young Producer", which stated that she was 22 years old (She actually may have been a year or 2 older then.) and producing a program on WNBC-TV in NYC.
