I don't know if Sitcoms Online has a section on commercials so I'll talk about them here unless this gets moved. This discussion will be about the commercials that you watched on TV in the last year that you liked so much that you didn't skip them while taping your shows or changed channels until they ended.
This will be about TV ads only since I have no use for online ads at any time for any site. I just hate it, period! I will post what I have chosen to be the best ad from 2012, which, ironically, I saw for the first time on Christmas Eve, tomorrow. It shouldn't be a big surprise. The voting was not even close. Today, I will show you my picks in a couple of other categories. This first one, in my opinion, was the worst ad I saw last year. Everything about it just completely annoyed and infuriated me. It's from the Koodo cell phone company, which has a mascot that I would like to kick in the groin with a steel toed boot if I had the chance. Here is one in a series of sorry ads for Koodo that truly belong in a garbage dump: Koodo - Big Kiss Now a lot of folks might find that funny, but as for me, my sense of humour tends to go in a different direction. For instance, I consider this next ad to be the funniest that I saw in 2012. It is for Canadian Club whiskey and features a man who has obviously tasted a little too much of the product. Canadian Club - First Whiskey So those were the ads that I consider to be the worst and the funniest and tomorrow you will see what I choose to be the best, my favourite commercial of 2012. Hint: It involves hamburger, but not for eating! Go ahead and make your picks, too. I'd love to see them. |

Now, just as I promised you, I present my favourite commercial ad of 2012, the one I have judged to be the best of the best. It's from Nike but it has nothing to do with shoes.
As you may know, I am Canadian, and like any true Canadian, I love hockey and I am terribly peeved that the NHL lockout has continued this long. To channel their anger and frustration in a more positive, and they hope, more profitable manner, the folks at NIKE have gathered NHL players P K Subban and Steven Stamkos, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Tessa Bonhomme, and a few kids to remind us all what hockey really means to Canada: Nike - Hockey Is Ours Need I say more? Now I'd like to see your input. The Doritos commercial above is a nice one. If you've seen other good ones in the past year you can post them below or you can feel free to comment on mine if you wish. It's up to you. |

I liked the Cellular One commercial with the old people and the kid who looked like a Harry Potter clone. This was usually shown on GSN.
