Dick Clark vs. Richard Dawson - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Two game show legends passed away in 2012. I prefer Dick Clark, his Pyramids are great. As for Dawson I preferred Karn and O'Hurley as Family Feud hosts.

Why did you refer to all of the hosts for "The Family Feud" you mentioned in your message by only their last names?

For me Richard Dawson was the best FF host. As for Dick Clark I have a hard time even thinking of him as a gameshow host since he was involved in so many other projects besides gameshows.

I first became familiar with Dick Clark through the broadcasts of "The $25,000 Pyramid" the USA Network used to do years ago when I was a very young child. I thought of him more as the host of game shows than anything else ever since then, even after discovering the other types of programs he hosted (I watched game shows more often than music programs while growing up).
