Default Killers/violent perps that could still be "out there"

Obviously there were a lot of unsolved murders/assaults on UM, but some of the cases are so old that even if the killer were never caught, they are likely to be deceased.

However, I think some cases have the possibility that the "bad guy" (or girl) is still out there, so to speak, roaming the streets or just living life.

The Jonbenet case, for instance: of course if you think her mother did it, we all know Patsy has passed away, but if it was her father or an intruder, then those individuals could still be out there, hangin' around and maybe even surfing sitcoms online(!)

Also the Scott Johnson case (two little boys killed in shed in Arizona in the 70s): if the killer or killers were teens at the time of incident, they could definitely still be out there, maybe behind you in line at a Phoenix wal-mart or something.

What other violent criminals do you think could still be roaming the streets?

The first criminal that comes to mind is the East Area rapist a.k.a. the original night stalker. It's eerie to think that this sicko could be anywhere in the US, or elsewhere. He could be married and have kids. Perhaps he continues to commit criminal acts.

This is definitely one of the most frustrating and chilling. Many have called him the most elusive and proficient criminal in history, and yet he is relatively unknown outside of California. I believe this has contributed to him having escaped justice this long. But his DNA is on the national database, one slip up could still get him caught if he is still alive. He was believed to be fairly young at the time, its estimated he'd be in his late 50's or early 60's today. I hope that he doesn't go down as another Jack the Ripper or Torso Slayer, a killer whose identity eludes law enforcement forever, but he just might. I think there has been petitions for Americas Most Wanted to do a segment on him.

Other Unsolves Mysteries notables who could still be out there who committed violent crimes:

Dub Wackerhagen
Brad Bishop
Boston Mall Rapist
I70 killer
Ohio trucker serial killer (Although I do believe Sean Patrick Goble may be responsible for a few of those)
Joe Maloney
Donald Webb
The trucker who ran down Jay Durham

Those are off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more I'm just not thinking of.

There's the Blind River rest stop killer. I can't even watch the UM segment, it gives me chills. The fact it happened in Canada and he hasn't been caught makes me angry.

The murder of Jonbenet Ramsey. Sadly, I don't think that will never be solved.

The Swedish hitchhikers murders.

Wendy Camp, her daughter Cynthia and her sister in law Lisa. Sadly, I think they're all dead and we will never know what happened to them. Of course, her ex husband family does.

How about the Long Island serial killer? He could've been the one who killed the prostitutes in Ohio or New Orleans, possibly even the Connecticut River victims but moved his operation.

The people who killed Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg in WA, Megan Curl in TX, Matthew Chase in CA, Phillip Fraser in Canada...

Even the person(s) who killed Rachel Runyan in UT back in 82 could still be a danger to the public. The UM wiki site says there's an un-named possible suspect who's been released from custody after committing an unrelated crime. If that information is correct and he IS the killer, then that's a horrific murderer who really is still lurking out there.

Actually this case was discussed extensively awhile back and there was pretty good information to suggest that was Ronald Glenn West, who is in jail. Its not a certainty mind you, but he is a good suspect. So that one may not still be out there. West was known to be in the area at the time of those murders, and resembles the composite.

Here are a couple of links on this:

Whats even worse is that the statute of limitations has run out, so that guy can't be charged even if he was caught!

There should be no statute of limitations on rape, thats disgraceful in my opinion.

Jc, he was a cop. No wonder he was able to get away with the crimes he did, he knew what to do and what not to do.

http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/w...d_River_Killer

The similarities between West and the composite drawing are eerie.

Wherever Gordon and Jacqueline are, I hope they're together and are at peace knowing the person who may have done this is locked up and will never hurt anyone again.

The Boston Strangler. Lots of information points to it being Albert DeSalvo but there are doubters. This was back in the 1960s.

The Zodiac killer from the same era in San Francisco. Arthur Lee Allen is strongly suspected of being the killer, who is now deceased, but nothing is set in stone.

The abductor of Nyleen Kay Marshall. Just a real creep, especially knowing the letters he wrote. You know, someone probably knows him very well as either a neighbour a co-worker or even a relative. They also would know Nyleen very well also because I believe she is alive. For all we know, Nyleen has a child of her own. You could literally have your child go to the same daycare as Nyleen's.

Johnny Gosch's abductor. Forget his loony mom who went off the deep end, as strange as this case is, at the end of the day SOMEONE abducted him.

That is horrible! I agree, a statute of limitations for that kind of crime is absolutely despicable. He could still be charged with the robberies, probably? But I think the rapes and violence are what he should really be paying for. Forget stolen money. He scarred and harmed innocent people and has no business out in the streets.

I also think some of the crimes that may have been committed by teenagers or young adults could see the killers roaming free even today:

-Ketrick Jordan case

-Russell Evans hit-and-run/whatever it was

-Whoever may have killed Keith Warren

-Jenny Pratt case

*I believe none of these are solved but I could be wrong

All those are unsolved except the Jordan family murders. They did name 2 suspects in the arson/murders but one is dead and the other I think is still in prison for an unrelated crime but either was never charged or was but was released.

I thought DNA proved it wasn't him? Nonetheless, I would think there was someone else killing at the very least.
