Default Funny how SOME of these houses were built

I have a book Fantasy Floorplans... And I was looking at the Stevens' home and the ONLY bathrooms they have are the ones in Samantha's and Darrin's room AND one in the guest room and one in Darrin's den.

It's funny I noticed in this book that LOTS of TV homes were built with ONLY private bathrooms like in the bedrooms, even the Clampett Mansion basically only had bathrooms in with in the bedrooms.

I think this is ODD, if you had a visitor in the house, and they had to use the restroom, they would have to go through SOMEONE's bedroom!

It seems they would have at least ONE community restroom, like in the hallways for ANYONE to use.

I would really be interested in reading that book!! I am fascinated by television show floor plans!! I'll have to check that out!!

What I thought was always interesting was how in The Golden Girls each of the girls had their own bathroom plus the hall bath, I think. Don't quote me on that though!! The house didn't look that big, but I guess it was!!!

It's an interesting book, though a but inaccurare I think, Like in the Addams Family house, it has the playroom as being on the FIRST floor, right beside the kitchen, I always thought the playroom was down in the basement.

Laverne and Shirly's appartment was WAY off.

But I think maybe since most of these "houses' were sets, that maybe this book has them the way they would HAVE to realistically be built. And that it would be impossible to build some of them as they were in the shows.

The downstairs of the Bewitched set matched the exterior pretty well. You could probably build that house with the first floor matching the set for the most part. They took some liberties, though, with just how far inside the house the living room was and the high "ceilings". The upstairs makes no sense to the exterior. It's like the Brady Bunch House where at one time every upstairs window overlooked the back yard (depending on episode need).
