Default Jack Klugman Dead: 'The Odd Couple' Actor Dies At 90

Jack Klugman, star of the much-beloved sitcom 'The Odd Couple', has died, his attorney told KTRK.
He was 90.
Klugman's son Adam confirmed the report to the AP.
According to his attorney, he died peacefully at his home in California. He is survived by his wife Peggy, two sons and two grandchildren.
Klugman is best known for his starring role in 'The Odd Couple.' He played Oscar Madison, the sloppy roommate to Felix Unger, played by Tony Randall. He also starred in the Academy Award-nominated 12 Angry Men.
Here's more from the AP:
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Jack Klugman, who made an art of gruffness in TV's "The Odd Couple" and "Quincy, M.E.," has died at the age of 90.

The actor's son Adam says his father died Monday afternoon in Los Angeles.
In the 1970s sitcom "The Odd Couple," Klugman played sloppy sports writer Oscar to co-star Tony Randall's Felix, a fussy photographer. In "Quincy, M.E.," which aired from 1976 to 1983, Klugman played an idealistic, tough-minded medical examiner.
Klugman lost his voice to throat cancer in the 1980s but trained himself to speak again. He returned to acting in a 1993 Broadway revival of "Three Men on a Horse."
Klugman split his time between TV, movies and the New York stage. In his later years he guest-starred on TV series including "Third Watch."

RIP Jack. You entertained us all in so many venues, but of course we'll always remember you from The Odd Couple and Quincy, M.D. most strongly, and more importantly, you always seemed like such a genuinely good person.

R.I.P. Jack Klugman, you will be missed! No-one ever played Oscar Madison as well as you did!

Jack Klugman was part of one of the best TV comedy teams of all-time with Tony Randall on The Odd Couple. He was the sloppy Oscar Madison who was the counterpart to Randall's obsesively neat Felix Unger. May Felix and Oscar rest in peace.

I can see him walking up to Heaven's Gate with a mustard stain and a stethoscope. R.I.P. Jack, and thanks for all the great entertainment.

Default Oscar Oscar Oscar...

RIP, Mr. Klugman. He and Tony Randall had some of the best chemistry among comedy duos.
