Default A List of Classic TV Networks

Do you guys have a list of all the classic tv networks? I know there's Antenna TV, ME-TV, RTV, Rural, Cozi TV, World Harvest Channel, INSP. Is there any that I'm missing?

My Network TV is still out there too.

What about Hallmark Channel? I'm not familiar with their current programming though. (Loved it back when they showed Seasons 11 and 12 of My Three Sons! Still drooling over memories of Ronne Troupe!)

THIS-TV is primarily a movie channel, but they do air The Patty Duke Show, Green Acres, and Mister Ed. In the past they have also had The Outer Limits, Sea Hunt, and Highway Patrol.

I guess classic is in the eye of the beholder, but Hallmark and GMC air a lot of older shows.

And they show them un-edited and commercial free. That is how cable channels should air classic TV shows. They are a great channel if you like westerns.Surprised they(Encore) never set up a classic sitcoms/drama channel to compliment the westerns channel.

yes, you forgot REELZ. You may not want to consider them though since the show on there are fom the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

In my area they still air Happy Days, Bonanza, and Coach -- but that's about it right now, as far as earlier stuff.

Encore Suspense Channel runs THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR and DIAGNOSIS MURDER on weeknights, commercial-free... but back in the late 1990s, when it was still called Encore Mystery Channel, they had a commercial-free afternoon line-up that rivaled Encore Western. At one time or another during that period, they ran THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR, THE AVENGERS (all of them, including all the surviving shot-on-tape episodes), THE NEW AVENGERS, THE PRISONER, MIKE HAMMER (both the Darren McGavin and Stacy Keach incarnations), RICHARD DIAMOND, NAME OF THE GAME, NIGHT GALLERY, THE PERSUADERS, DANGER MAN, SECRET AGENT, THE SAINT, and a host of others.

Also around that time, Encore Action Channel ran COMBAT, THE TIME TUNNEL and THE GREEN HORNET.

For whatever reason, the powers that be decided to let their Western channel do all the heavy lifting, classic-tv-wise, since then.

That's your local affiliate, the national MyNetworkTV doesn't air those shows.

Just so there's no further confusion, I looked up Wikipedia to find a more detailed list and I'll include the networks here, focussing only on those that have classic sitcoms on their schedule.

Over-The-Air Networks

ANTENNA TV

All In The Family, Bachelor Father, Barney Miller, Benson, Burns & Allen, Dennis The Menace, Diff'rent Strokes, Father Knows Best, The Flying Nun, Gidget, Good Times, Hazel, Jack Benny, Leave It To Beaver, Maude, McHale's Navy, The Monkees, The Partridge Family, Sanford & Son, Soap, Three's Company, WKRP in Cincinnati

Total: 1950s - 6; 1960s - 5; 1970s - 9; 1980s - 2 (22)

ME-TV

Batman, The Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, The Bob Newhart Show, The Brady Bunch, Car 54, Where Are You?, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Dobie Gillis, The Donna Reed Show, Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, I Dream Of Jeannie, I Love Lucy, Make Room For Daddy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, MASH, My Three Sons, The Odd Couple, Petticoat Junction, The Phil Silvers Show, That Girl

Total: 1950s - 5; 1960s - 11; 1970s - 5 (21)

This TV: Green Acres, Mister Ed, The Patty Duke Show

Bounce: No classic sitcoms, but they do have Fat Albert! Hey, hey, hey!

RTV: The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Bill Cosby Show, The Colgate Comedy Hour, The Joey Bishop Show

COZI TV: Lots of public domain stuff for now, after New Year's - nothing! All dramas and westerns. At least they have "Charlie's Angels", so it's not all bad.

My Family TV: The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet, The Bill Cosby Show, My Little Margie (not to be confused with FamilyNet, which airs the following sitcoms: The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mr Belvedere, and Newhart.)

TCT - Tri-Christian Television - Religious channel which airs public domain movies, dramas, and sitcoms on their main feed and their sub-channel TCT Family:

The Beverly Hillbillies, Dusty's Trail, I Married Joan, The Lucy Show, Meet Corliss Archer, My Little Margie, Ozzie and Harriet, Petticoat Junction

I should also add PBJ to this list. It's a network which shows classic cartoons like The Archies, Fat Albert, Mr Magoo, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and The Groovie Goolies.
