Axel Braun Wraps "Homeland" Parody

Reigning AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun brought shooting to a close on his latest Hustler Video parody, This Ain't Homeland XXX, just as the season two finale of the blockbuster Showtime series upon which it is based aired Sunday night.

With Tara Lynn Foxx and Richie Calhoun stepping into the lead roles played on the series by Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, the parody takes a comedic approach to its source material without going completely slapstick, Braun said.

"It's really funny, but it definitely has some dramatic moments," Braun told AVN. "We poked plenty of fun at the show, exaggerating the characters' idiosyncrasies and behavioral patterns, but we made sure to steer clear of mocking Muslim religion. The fact that it's a porn parody doesn't mean it's disrespectful."



Of his two leads, Braun offered high praise: "Richie Calhoun agreed to cut off his hair and dye it orange, which shows enormous commitment to the role. He bears a striking resemblance to Damian Lewis. Tara Lynn Foxx was outstanding. She researched the character and gave a tremendous, career-making performance."

This Ain't Homeland XXX is set to street in Spring 2013.
