TV Update: Pulled "American Dad!" Episode Still On Hold

Fox Pulls "Family Guy" and "American Dad" in Wake of School Shooting
12/14/2012
by Kimberly Nordyke

Fox has quietly replaced Sunday's all-new episodes of "Family Guy" and "American Dad" with repeats.

A network source indicated that the change was made to avoid airing any potentially sensitive content in light of Friday's elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn., which has now reportedly left 28 people dead (including 20 children).

The episodes -- "Family Guy's" 'Jesus, Mary and Joseph!' and "American Dad's" "Minstrel Krampus" -- will be replaced with, respectively, repeats of 'Grumpy Old Man' at 9 p.m. and 'Wheels & The Legman and The Case of Grandpa's Key' at 9:30 p.m.

In addition, the 7 p.m. repeat of "The Cleveland Show" titled 'Die Semi-Hard' has been replaced by 'Menace II Secret Society', another repeat.

you know, if an episode of a show has content that is so objectionable during a "sensitive" time, maybe it wasn't that good an idea to begin with.

some of the previous episodes with just over-the top gratuitous violence i just don't find funny, and don't see why they have to take it so far - i can't even watch the so-called American Dad "Christmas Specials".

Absolutely! Maybe this will make people rethink what we spend our time watching as "entertainment"

by NELLIE ANDREEVA
Monday December 17, 2012

There is no new airdate set yet for the pulled "American Dad" episode.

I heard that the pulled episode features gun violence.

The pulled Christmas episode of American Dad!, "Minstrel Krampus" did, in fact, air last night (16 December 2013).

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

"Minstrel Krampus" was no surprise, considering Seth's last several "Christmas" episodes.
