One of the last topics I read was about a possible Maris spinoff. The consensus was that the best part of the Maris character was not seeing her. Well, this may sound off base, but, what about a sitcom entitled "Maris" and will star people that she associate's with on a daily basis. It will revolve around what Maris does and how it affects other people without actually seeing her. You can also do segments where she goes on dates, where the viewers are looking at the dates through Maris' eyes. I think it's an interesting concept that's never been done before, where the title character is never seen. What do you think?

I DO like the concept but they'll never want to do it!

I stand by my view that "Maris" is a bad idea. **moo, firmly standing for what moo thinks** |

Who cares if we've never seen Maris. You mean to tell me nobody would watch a show if it was well written (Which if it had the Cheers/Frasier writers you know it would) and a solid supporting cast? (Throw in a few Niles/Daphne cameos) I understand what you're saying about Maris being great for the imagination, that doesn't mean a show about her couldn't work. A lot of people who watch Frasier aren't necessarily Cheers fans. Maris doesn't have to be a show that will only attract Frasier fans either.
