Jada Pinkett's character was so unattractive on this show - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The way she walked around like a little hood rat with her poor language just made her so unappealing. The only thing missing from this character was her popping a cap in someone's a$$

She was so qualified to be a member of a female gang

She never even attempted to make herself feminine. I thought she was abrasive and a turn off. I hated her nasty mouth, the way she looked and her whole attitude.

She came off so masculine that it appeared she could have really been bisexual

Lena was alright with me. She is one of my favorite characters on the show. Liked me some her. Jada Pinkett Smith pulled off that character well. She originally auditioned for the role of the character with AIDS. She did extremely well in the audition but the role was given to Tisha Campbell. Jada was shocked but they decided to create a new character for her being added into the cast of the show.

To me that was a poor portrayal of a ghetto female. LOL She seemed to be playing the bi-sexual role more than the ghetto role

The Bi-sexual role? Sorry but I don't see that at all. She did not come off like that at all. She had sex appeal especially her second year on the show. I gotta be honest, I loved watching her dance in that african number when Whitley found out her family owned slaves. Jada was looking good there. I liked her style on the show. Her second year on the show, she was a bit more mature. I enjoyed her work on the show.

She was too manly and acted like a guy instead of a girl because of how she dressed, the way she spoke, and her overall hand movements.

That's why It was hard to see whatever sex appeal she may have had at the time because she was too ROUGH acting

She was acting like some girls do that come from urban neighborhoods. It doesn't mean she is bisexual. Everything isn't black and white. Lena was a new type of girl on the scene at Hillman. She was much better than her homegirl Yolanda who came to visit her her with the other male and ex boyfriend Piccolo (Tupac Shakur). Yolanda was straight up hood and into the character Terrell on the show. LOL.

Charmaine was a good example of a girl who was feminine and ghetto

Lena was too tom boyish

Hey now, there isn't anything wrong with being a tomboy, I was a tomboy growing up and I still have some tomboyish ways today. I'm not a high heels wearing type of girl unless I'm going to a place that calls for me to wear them. Lena had her own style and she wasn't afraid to show it. Like ThomasE said, she matured a lot in her second season. And what the hell is acting bi-sexual?
