There were a number of visitors to Gilligan's island and met the castaways during the show's run . One fellow once asked me "Why didn't they ever tell anybody they were there ?" . One visitor was a dictator -- in -- exile who tried to arrange a rescue, but his people thought he had gone crazy . A little boy on the island couldn't speak English, a surfer got amnesia when he got back to the mainland, Eve Grubb stole Ginger's identity and wanted her to stay right where she was, a hunter tried to hunt Gilligan down like an animal and didn't want the castaways accusing him of murder, and a group of bank robbers didn't want the castaways blowing the whistle on them . Mr . Howell's impersonator probably didn't want the castaways blowing the whistle on HIM . The Russian spy and Dr . Boris Balinkoff might not have been interested in helping them be rescued .
Gilligan and his friends seemed to be on good terms with Erika Tiffany -- Smythe, the Mop Topped Mosquitoes, and Harold Hecuba . Why didn't they tell anybody about the castaways and arrange a rescue ? Obviously, it's been much too long since I watched Gilligan's Island . All right -- let's complete my list . Who visited Gilligan's island, and why didn't they tell anybody about the castaways and arrange for them to be rescued ? Thank you in advance for your answers . |

How about in season three, episode 80?
Don Rickles as a kidnapping thief who escapes the island with Thurston’s wallet and Lovey and Ginger’s jewelry. At least he had a reason not to alert authorities. |

IMO, Erika Tiffany-Smith had no reason not to tell authorities about the castaways. She had captain of her boat so why did SHE write the info down in the ship's log? shouldn't her captain have been able to give coordinates and properly fill in the logs?

The Mosquitos thought The Honeybees (Maryann, Ginger & Mrs. Howell) were so good that they would knock them off the music charts.
The robot would have helped them if it had not been for the rabbit's foot Gilligan put on him that wonked his database. |
