Beyoncé Documentary Ratings Hit Decade High for HBO
HBO to Air Beyoncé Documentary in February
Nov 26, 2012 by Liz Raftery Beyoncé will be the subject of an HBO documentary premiering in February, the network announced Monday. The singer is also directing and executive-producing the feature-length film, which will feature performance and behind-the-scenes footage. The as-yet-untitled feature will explore Beyoncé's early childhood in Houston and her current life as a singer, actress, businesswoman, wife and mother. Beyoncé has been married to Jay-Z since 2008 and gave birth to the couple's first daughter, Blue Ivy, in January. 2013 is shaping up to be a good year for Beyoncé: She is also slated to perform during Super Bowl XLVII's halftime show on Feb. 3. http://www.tvguide.com/News/HBO-Beyo...y-1056841.aspx |

Beyoncé Documentary Ratings Hit Decade High for HBO
by DOMINIC PATTEN February 19, 2013 First she took this year’s Super Bowl halftime show by storm and now Beyoncé has hit the high note on cable. The singer’s co-directed Beyoncé: Life Is A Dream documentary was watched by 1.8 million HBO viewers Saturday in its 9 PM premiere. That’s a 10-year audience high for a documentary on the premium network. In 2004, Nielsen changed the way it determines viewership on HBO, so prior-year comparisons are apples and oranges. The closest the cable station had to such numbers was in 2006, with the Spike Lee directed When The Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. That film documenting the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans pulled in 1.7 million viewers. http://www.deadline.com/2013/02/beyo...-high-for-hbo/ |
