Life-Size is getting a sequel.

Tyra Banks will reprise the role of Eve, a doll that comes to life, for the Disney Channel movie. According to Disney, Banks will also serve as an executive producer. In addition to reprising her role, Banks will also reprise the orignal TV movie's hit song 'Be A Star'.



Banks took to Twitter to announce the project:

"Shine bright, Shine far, Don't be shy, Be a star...AGAIN!!!"





Disney Channel's development executives Michael Healy and Nikki Reed are in talks with screenwriters about the sequel. When the original movie aired as part of ABC's Wonderful World of Disney in 2000, it pulled in 13.6 million viewers.

The movie has been in rotation on the Disney Channel with its most recent four telecasts averaging 2.4 million viewers, according to the network.

Lindsay Lohan co-starred opposite Banks in the original 2000 TV movie. No word on whether she'll return for the sequel.

"I have a meeting today to go over the script! I swear! I don't think it'll be out until probably 2015, but I'm guessing -- it could be late 2014 or 2015. But it will be back -- 'Life-Size' will be back, better than ever.

"I can't tell you anything unfortunately. I'm under contract with Disney and I can't talk about it at all, except that it's coming. But it will be very different, very different. Very modern -- a modern take."

Freeform wants you to shine bright, shine far and be a star all over again.

In advance of its upfront presentation on Wednesday, the network announced a sequel to Life-Size, the 2000 movie about a doll (Tyra Banks) that comes to life after a young girl (Lindsay Lohan) attempts to resurrect her mother via a magic spell.

Along with serving as an executive producer, Banks will reprise her role as living-doll Eve in the movie — appropriately titled Life-Size 2 — which will air as part of Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” lineup in 2018.





Here’s a quick synopsis of the holiday sequel:

"In the sequel, everyone’s favorite doll Eve has grown up. This time, she’s magically awoken to help a young woman learn to live and love again, and along the way, Eve herself will experience the ups and downs of real life in a fun, edgy, modern Christmas movie."

I saw the movie Life-Size when it came out on TV as part of ABC's The Magical World Of Disney movie series and I thought it was impressive and I cannot believe there's gonna be a Life-Size 2 being made. I think once Life-Size 2 debuts on TV in 2018 Tyra Banks will be an even bigger celebrity than ever before and I hope Life-Size 2 is even better than the original

Tyra Banks Teases an "Edgier" Life-Size Sequel

The hearts of nostalgic 90s kids everywhere burst on Wednesday when Freeform announced that Life-Size 2 would be on TV screens come December 2018.

The original film starred Tyra Banks as Eve, a doll that comes to life to hang out with her little girl best friend Casey (Lindsay Lohan).





TVGuide.com caught up with Banks on the red carpet for the Freeform Upfronts presentation in New York City and talked to the former model about what we can expect from the second film.

"It was my mom that told me I should do Life-Size 2," said Banks, who started getting scripts made after that advice. "We did three or four versions and then finally, we were like, 'You know what? Eve has grown up now. Let's not do a kiddie movie. Let's do a movie for young adults.' So this is going to be an edgy Eve that you see, an edgy Life-Size 2."





The full details are still coming together but Banks promises that the sequel will have aged up with the fans who originally fell in love with the first film.

"The script is being written right now so even I don't know 100 percent, but it's definitely going to be like, 'Oh my God Eve does WHAT? Cover your eyes!'" she said. "It's going to be a little more real."

Tyra Banks Recording a "Club Banger" Version of 'Be a Star' for Life-Size 2

Tyra Banks is returning to music with a fresh interpretation of Life-Size theme song (and low-key bop) “Be a Star.”

“I am going to dust off my retired vocal chords for Life-Size 2,” Banks, currently preparing for the release of her upcoming book Perfect is Boring, tells EW with a laugh. “I’d love to find a top producer that everybody knows, like a household name, to do the music. And a beautiful sound technician to auto-tune the hell out of my voice.”




According to Banks, her contemporary take on “Be a Star” will sound “a lot more current” than the bubblegum pop stylings of the original. While she hasn’t yet decided whether the planned tune will be a remix or feature new lyrics, she assures that the words “be a star” will make the final cut.

“Those words will be in there some way, but it’ll sound totally new,” Banks continues. “We’re going for club banger as opposed to nursery school rhyme this time!”




In April 2017, Banks announced that Life-Size 2 would premiere on Freeform in December 2018, and she tells EW that the film is still on track for a debut this holiday season.

When asked if Lindsay Lohan will return, Banks replied, “Lindsay and I have been slipping into each other’s DMs a lot lately. I think she’s very interested in returning. It’s about figuring out what that role is. I’d like it to be kind of robust…. I’m not looking for a Lindsay cameo, I’m looking for her to have something pretty meaty in Life-Size 2, so we shall see what our writer comes up with.”

Lindsay Lohan will once again shine bright, shine far, be a star. Tyra Banks said her former costar will be joining her in Freeform’s Life-Size sequel, speaking in a new interview with Steve Harvey.

“Lindsay Lohan will … be in Life-Size 2, yes!” Banks announced. “I really, really want her to. We’re talking about it right now, and she has got to come back.”

It remains unclear whether Lohan would reprise her role as Casey from the original or portray a new character in the sequel. Representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Tyra Banks Reveals Francia Raisa as her Life-Size 2 Co-Star, More Plot Details

Never say no to learning — especially when Tyra Banks is teaching a lesson in how to drop a major announcement about Life-Size 2.

After hinting Sunday via Twitter that a significant development regarding the long-gestating TV movie sequel was imminent, the supermodel-turned-actress revealed Monday afternoon that the movie, premiering this winter on Freeform, is already filming, and that Francia Raisa (grown-ish, The Secret Life of the American Teenager) is her co-star.




“Now filming: LIFE SIZE 2,” the model, businesswoman, and TV host said on Twitter.

“It’s time y’all! You’ve waited long enough. Could not find one single woman more perfect to co-star with Eve than the magnificently fierce @franciaraisa.”




In Life-Size 2, Raisa plays Grace Manning, “the confident and funny CEO of Marathon Toys, a huge toy company started by her mother that is most famous for manufacturing the iconic Eve doll,” per a press release.

The movie’s synopsis describes Grace as “a hot mess in the middle of her quarter-life crisis” whose “wild-child ways are causing the company’s stock to plummet.”




Also joining the cast alongside Raisa and Banks are:

Gavin Stenhouse as Grace’s love interest, Calum
Shanica Knowles and Hank Chen as Grace’s friends Tahlia and Brendan
Alison Fernandez as Lex, Grace’s young neighbor

Lindsay Lohan isn't Appearing in Life-Size 2

Lindsay Lohan will be shining bright and shining far away from the production of Life-Size 2.

Returning star and executive producer Tyra Banks previously hinted that Lohan — who fronted the 2000 original as a girl who accidentally brings to life a fashion doll (Banks) after botching a spell to revive her deceased mother — would appear in the second film, but EW has confirmed the actress will not star in the upcoming sequel due to her filming schedule on a reality show.




Fans continued to speculate, however, that Lohan would make a cameo appearance, though EW understands that is not in the cards at this time as the project continues filming in Atlanta.

Life-Size 2 will premiere this December on Freeform.

Mom and I saw Life-Size 2 today and I cannot figure out how in the world they managed to make a sequel to Life-Size because from what we saw of it Freeform managed to recycle the plot from the original Life-Size movie but with different characters and lacked flavor from the original film. Why I think Freeform made Life-Size 2 was to promote Christmas and it seemed that they got inspiration to make Eve The Doll's toy company was from the demise of Toys "R" Us but with all the promotion and hype and money Freeform put in to advertise the film Life-Size 2 was not all that it's cracked up to be

It's too bad that Lindsay Lohan couldn't get involved with this, because I would've liked to see her make at least a small cameo or something.
