I don't see what all the fuss is about. He started in Hollywood very young. Since he is 19 his parents probably signed his contracts and may have pushed him to keep the money coming in. Now that he is a grown man who has been in Hollywood all his life and seen Charlie Sheen destroy himself, he chooses a different path. Good for him. Charlie made his choices and so has Angus.

I don't mind if he becomes a born-again-Christian, as long as he doesn't shove his beliefs down our throats 24/7, and become a control freak, like Kirk Cameron does.

One of my friends said it best: "You would be scared into becoming a Seventh Day Adventist, too, if you grew up around Charlie Sheen."

I agree that the show is filth, but probably for different reasons than he does.

I realize he's in an ironclad contract, but if he feels he's standing up for what's right, why not break it? What's the worst that could happen? He'd have to give back a few million dollars of his tainted devil money?

The kid makes $350,000 per episode (not to mention syndication and DVD revenue). If he was truly committed to the idea that the show is "filth" from the "enemy," he wouldn't be cashing those checks.

I'm not a fan of the show by any means, but I know it enough to be sure Angus T. Jones would be a hell of a lot easier to replace than Charlie Sheen. They wouldn't even have to come up with a new character; he's bland enough that they could get away with pulling a Dick Sargent.

Oh No

He may also feel he outgrown the show. And there's many born-again Christians in Hollywood, Willie Aames and Kim Fields are examples...and they don't boast it either.

Forget it. 2.5 Men doesn't need to continue, Just wrap up the show altogether.

Regardless of what one thinks of the show or Angus T. Jones, I admire him for speaking up for what he believes in.

It appears that there's a thin line between "standing for something" and arrogance. Maybe the two aren't mutually exclusive, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of humility in Mr. Jones' statements.

You admire his ability to stand up for that in which he believes; I abhor his biting the hand that has fed, clothed and housed him more than half his life. He just gave a giant middle finger to every member of that ensemble (cast and crew) who has loved him since he was a little boy. I imagine there are many people working on that show who are heartbroken and confused by what he said, from the guy who makes the donut run for the weekly table read all the way up to Chuck Lorre.

Like it or not, Mr. Jones is doing the same thing that got Charlie Sheen fired; he's merely going about it in a non-vulgar, non-debaucherous manner. Like Mr. Sheen, Jones is taking a huge dump on the very thing that has given him the platform he has, and using said platform to discourage people from watching an ad-supported show that feeds hundreds of crew members who are living paycheck to paycheck.

Instead of lashing out at Two and a Half Men, this kid should be grateful it has given him the ability to proselytize to hundreds of thousands of people.

I think it would have been a lot easier for Angus to keep his mouth shut and continue cashing his $350,000 per episode paychecks than to speak up for his new found beliefs. I give Angus credit for not taking the easy way out.

The show has really gone down hill, can't say I blame him for telling people to stop watching it.

Is he going to resign from the show? If not, he's being a huge hypocrite.
