I want OATMEAL!!!!!

Okay experts....

I have LONG remembered an episode where Peter comes into the kitchen, and after Carol says something about pancakes (I think) for breakfast, Peter sternly demands, "OATMEAL!!" She expresses shock, and he again belts out "I want OATMEAL!!!"

She cowers, and then he says something about pancakes being fine...he was just trying to show assertiveness....(or SOMETHING like that).

I have searched over and over in vain, googled the phrase, watched episodes on websites, looked through the synopsis and description of EVERY episode, and have been TOTALLY unable to find what episode it was in.

I thought it was part of the "porkchops and....APPLESAUCE" nuttiness, but it was not in that episode either.

I am SURE someone here can provide me a season, episode number, and probably even the minutes into it where it occurs! I know it is probably a little odd, but it has bugged me for years, and after discussing it with a buddy at work who eats oatmeal every day, I would really like to find the clip and show him where I got my line from....

You have gotten your 1970's sitcoms confused......This scene DID happen, but it was from Happy Days and Richie said that oatmeal line to his mother (Marion Cunningham)......It was the episode that Fonzi was trying to help Richie become more assertive.

I'm 100% sure of this......I've always found the scene absolutely hilarious myself....but it was definitely Happy Days, not Brady Bunch

....and you are RIGHT!!! I brought the subject up to my family on Thanksgiving, and my younger sister set me straight! Season 3, Episode 6, "Richie Fights Back". I remember the "bong...bong...bing...bing bong..." at the pinball machine, Joanie HIIIIYAAAAing everything, and Richie with his..."DONT EVER BUG ME AGAIN". 17 minute in is when the kitchen scene takes place. Thanks for responding and setting me straight!

no problem. that was one of my all time favorite episodes of any sitcom....absolutely hilarious!!
