What classic TV programs do you think could have easily ran longer and been just as entertaining? The reason I'm asking about shows that ran OVER 3 years/seasons is because of course there are so many older shows that originally ran less than 3 years that could and should have been on the air longer.

Two of a few shows I pick that could have easily ran extra seasons are,1."The Dick Van Dyke Show".I know they wanted to end the show on top,but the last season is just as good as the earlier seasons and the show could have easily ran a couple of extra years and still have been on top.---2."The Rifleman" is another show that was still at the top of it's game during the last season.

If Redd Foxx hadnt quite, there probably would have been a couple of more seasons of Sanford and Son. When Foxx walked off, the show still had great ratings.
WKRP In Cinncinati for sure, it CBS would have kept it at one time slot. |

The Wonder Years. Why did they end it after 11th grade and not 12th grade when Kevin and his friends were graduating from high school?

Full House. I know some disagree with me on this but season 8 was my favorite and although I agree it might of been best to just end it before the move to the WB made any huge changes the show, they could have had a decent season 9 with the way it ended.
Cheers pretty much had a good run with no major quality drop towards the end and they probably could have produced a good season 12. |
