I think best decade of shows was either the 1960's or the 1970's.
1960's were great and the ideas and plots were fresh. The 1970's was great as well because the decade changed many people's views on such things. |

It's a BIG tossup between the 60s and the 70s. Out of my favs:
I Love Lucy- 50s (exception) Adam-12- late 60s- mid 70s Route 66- 60s Hogan's Heroes- 60s Family Feud- mid 70s-mid 80s Match Game- pretty much the 70s I Dream of Jeannie- 60s Monkees- 60s Odd Couple- 70s Emergency!- 70s Dragnet- 60s |

I think each decade had it's fair share of great comedies. For example,
The 50s had: I Love Lucy The Honeymooners Leave It To Beaver Father Knows Best The 60s had: I Dream Of Jeannie BeWitched The Munsters The 70s had: The Brady Bunch All In The Family Happy Days Laverne and Shirley Alice The 80s had: Diff'rent Strokes Facts Of Life Family Ties Cheers Cosby Show Silver Spoons The 90s had: Friends Frasier Spin City Full House Home Improvement Boy Meets World Of course, each decade had many more great sitcoms than the ones I listed. Each decade was full of wonderful shows, so I cannot bring myself to pick just ONE decade, because each had soemthing special. |
