because of John Goodman's great acting skills. The way he was laying there in that bed hooked up to a machine really made it seem real.

I will only watch that episode one more time and that's it for life since it's so depressing.

I didn't find it depressing. The next episode had some comical moments, especially when he returns home and Roseanne finds out that Dan had been cheating on his diet. And after that they win the Lottery and the show goes down hill like a bullet.

It was right after Darlene had gotten married and it was during the reception when he had his heart attack. He doesn't pass out or grab his chest or anything. That is when Dan "dies."

I have to watch both eps over again because I feel asleep on the episode when he returned home.

The last thing I remember is when he returned home Roseanne was throwing all the snacks in the trash

Yeah that is the episode where she finds out that he hadn't been walking and he was cheating on his diet.
