This may not be the funniest, but I love this one Sophia's tells:
"Picture it, Sicily, 1921" or some other year. It's about Sophia and Mama Celeste. A fast-talking peperoni
salesman comes to town and starts dating Sophia and her girlfriend (Mama C.) and pretty soon drives a wedge between them. Later, Mama C. comes to America and markets her product.

Roses stories get on my nerves sometimes, although they are funny, too. The "flashback" scenes when Dorothy is in her mid-twenties in Brooklyn are great. That actress really has Dorothy's expressions down good.

And Blanche's stories of she and her many, many, many men (was it Billy? No Bobby. Or was it Ben? then she says all she remembers is it started with a "B").

One of the funniest things Dorothy ever said was in the episode where Blanche and Rose start the "Hunka Hunka Burnin Love" Elvis Fan Club. Dorothy makes fun of a 1/2 eaten pork chop supposedly from The King. Blanche kicks Dorothy out of the group... and then:

Blanche: Well, Dorothy, I hope you aren't too upset about this.

Dorothy: I've just been kicked out of an unauthorized Elvis fan club. I'll try to somehow pick up the pieces. (laughter from audience) I'm sure there's a self-help group for people like me!

CLASSIC!!!!

I always laugh when Blanche finds out that Dorothy's friend Jean is a lesbian.

Blanche: A lesbian? Jean's a lesbian?
Dorothy: Yes.
Blanche: Well, I don't see what the big deal is... isn't Danny Thomas one??
(laughter from the audience)
Dorothy: Lebanese, Blanche!!!!!!!!

Too Funny!!!

Anything by Sophia is funny... too many moments...

As for Rose, it's the "herring circus," which is an episode lifetime has cut to pieces. I can't remember all of it, but it had herring shooting out of cannons and juggling "tiny little ginzu knives," but the herring wouldn't do it after one of them fileted himself.

I love the Golden Girls.......

So do I!!!

Sophia: Picture it. Sicily. 1912.

A young Spanish artist falls for a young peasant girl. Well, you all know how the story goes. She's insulted w/ the painting and storms out of his life forever. That young peasant girl was me. And that young Spanish artist was.....................Pablo Picasso!

Dorothy: Ma, I have a feeling you're lying.
Rose: Be positive Dorothy.
Dorothy: Okay, I'm POSITIVE you're lying!!!

One of my favorites is a story that Sophia tells in the episode Before and After:

Sophia: 90-year old twins, (I forgot their names), sitting on a park bench. One of them asks the other, What ever happened to that streaking craze? and the other asks, What streaking craze? and the other says you know where you take off you clothes and run down the street. The other says, hey that sounds like fun, I think I'll do that right know. So 90 years old he takes off his clothes and takes off down the street running right past these two old ladies, Carlotta and Maria. Maria turns to Carlotta and says, What the hell was that? and Carlotta says, I don't know but whatever it was, it sure needs ironing.

The bad thing is Lifetime cuts this out of Before and After

Also in Larceny and Old Lace, Dorothy's story of Stan's proposal is funny.
