Default Something bothering me

So, I have an exam tomorrow, but the FOL girls have really been bothering me this week. What with Lisa's tears and her being shell-shocked on television, and now this added worry about Nancy. I can't help wondering--what kind of a person cries on command? I mean, that's an outstanding ability, but a very sad one.

And now I read this post by another FOLer, posted quite some time ago

I mean, not involving the parents. They seemed decent. But she had such a sadness in her eyes that I see much too frequently in my line of work. Maybe Nancy herself had the baggage and it was coming out in her acting, that could be. But that sad and pained look is very hard to mistake when you've been working with mistreaten teens and children every day. Something was wrong with her. And although a great actress, maybe NM wouldn't be able to portray such a complex emotion at age 14, 15. Which leads me to think that that sad look was something from her own life. I can just spot it in someone's eyes right away and it makes me tear-up even after all these years of working with them. Something just wasn't right with her.
Now I am seriously depressed, fellow FOLers. Don't let this thread die, please. Do a good deed and assure me that nothing was wrong with my Nancy...was there?

Last year when I became addicted to FOL, I dug up everything I could find about the girls. I never heard anything negative about Nancy's past. She seems to have come from a very happy family. If she had a troubled past, it's hard to imagine Rona Barrett or someone like that didn't pick up on it and spread it around.

I'm sorry to get anyone upset; this is the FIRST time I have ever heard anyone speaking like that--like Nancy had a sad life. I think this poster was just reading too much. It was true that Nancy had a lot of intensity in her eyes; maybe it was just stress. Expressions while acting and in real life probably can't be interpreted in the same way. The poster is a social worker so I kinda got worried.

@OldBiddy, have you or anyone else read that article about just how much of a perfectionist and workaholic Nancy was? If not, I'll post it here. It had her nickname, Facet Face in the title
