Default CBS signs major licensing deal with HULU

Big news from HULU! This week the popular VOD website signed a lucrative deal with CBS to allow them access to CBS's massive media library estimated at over 2600 shows. The series will appear on HULU Plus beginning in January and a few select series will show up on the regular Hulu site as well on a rotating basis. This will include series that originally appeared on other networks but are now owned by CBS, like "Happy Days" and "The Brady Bunch", for example. Scheduled to arrive off the top will be "I Love Lucy", "Family Ties", "The Twilight Zone", "Frasier", "Twin Peaks", "Star Trek", and many others. The series will arrive a bundle at a time with the full package expected to be complete by January 2013. Full details can be read here:

As well, Hulu Plus now also has a Kids section known simply as Hulu Kids from which children can watch episodes of their favorite shows like "Barney", "Arthur", "Spongebob Squarepants", "Thomas the Tank Engine", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and more, 43 different shows in all.

This is great news for TV lovers of all ages who enjoy both classic and current series, but, of course, HULU is still US-only. That's the next step they have to fix which is long, long, long overdue. This way, everyone will get to watch!

Great news! Since I watch more tv shows than movies, I'll probably drop Netflix & get Hulu Plus.

Hulu Plus is very affordable at 7.99 a month. And it's unlimited.

It could be an issue with your Flash Player or Adobe. I have issues with Hulu sometimes but only when I'm using Firefox. When I use IE it works fine, so check your Flash settings.

Do you have any platforms on which you can watch Netflix and Hulu Plus on your TV, Sol? I subscribe to both, and watch them mostly on my TV via my PS3. Sometimes I watch in bed on my iPhone when I'm not feeling well.

I haven't learned how to hook up my laptop to the Flat screen yet. But I;m not sure if i want to do that because I found out if you hook up the web to your TV you are unable to browse the web.

You just have to keep the website locked in on the TV

Hooking your laptop up to your TV should do nothing more than make your TV act as a monitor. It shouldn't disable or lock your browser. I wonder why it's doing that.

I was wondering if the Laptop is hooked up to the TV and I;m watching hulu.com, am I able to still come to this site while watching a show on my flat screen?

See that's where it gets confusing

No. You have to do one or the other. Your best bet would be to invest in a Roku Box or Apple TV so you can more easily stream it to your TV, and not tie up your laptop.
