This thread is for spin-offs that gave birth to their own spin-off.
The Danny Thomas Show begat The Andy Griffith Show, which begat Gomer Pyle and Mayberry RFD. The Beverly Hillbillies begat Petticoat Junction, which begat Green Acres. Dragnet begat Adam-12, which begat Emergency!, which begat High Sierra. Love American Style begat Happy Days, which begat several spin-offs. All in the Family begat Maude, which begat Good Times. JAG begat NCIS, which begat NCIS: Los Angeles, which might beget its own spin-off. |

In my book, Petticoat Junction was NOT a spinoff of Beverly Hillbillies. There was absolutely no connection between the two series until after Bea Benederet's death and we had a visit from Granny who stated Kate and Pearl Bodine were distant cousins.
