I Waited In Line Almsot 7 Hours To Vote! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I came to the polling place at roughly 2 on Saturday , and finally got into the building at almost 9. That's way too long, especially when we were told by a poll worker that it would be a 4 hour wait at most, and the people in line should not still be waiting at 7 or 8. Liar. Luckily, we got free water and food, since we were standing in the hot weather, roughly 80 degrees, for around 4 hours. Not cool. Around 6, the sun began going down, and it got a lot more comfortable.

That insane! I always get right in when I vote. It's usually no more than 15 minutes.

Speaking as a former resident (Yay, Orlando!): Voting in Florida is almost always a mess one way or another, and the somewhat stark reduction of early voting by Gov. Scott's office certainly didn't help matters.
