Default Which cases do you think stuck with Robert Stack?

I mean which cases do you think if you met him, he would know and have an interest in? I am sure he would not remember them all but maybe a few. I think he would remember the dave Tondevold case where the guy rips off the old lady and we never see him again. I think this case would be fond to him because as a much older celebrity I am sure he realized he was at a stage in his life where he might have had the need to hire a caregiver.

there must be other cases as well. What do others think?

I think he had a sense of humor and recalled the ones where he had to say funny things, like 'a number of snails were sacrificed'.LOL.and I bet without a doubt he found the Sammy Wheeler relatives to be a real hoot! They're pretty unforgettable.

I remember about 10 or so years ago, Lifetime had an interview on their website with Robert Stack where he mentioned the railroad adoption segment stuck with him the most. This is the segment where children were sent by train from NYC to be adopted in the Midwest.

I bet the Mickey and Trudy Thompson case stuck with him because he was friends with Mickey's sister according to information gathered online.

I was actually apart of the Lifetime chat way back when with Robert Stack. Ill never forget it. I actually was able to ask him about the chupacabras case and he actually said LOL, he even mentioned that the reenactment stuck out in his mind as being odd or silly.

I would think some of the Lost Loves segments would stick with him, especially the ones where the siblings are taken out of the home due to the parents' abuse and neglect and they're all split up.

Judging by the interview with Jenny Pratt and her family, I would think this one would stick with him.

Not to derail the thread, but my first thought was of a friend who is a PSW. Essentially the first thing she learned was "don't become attached whatsoever to your patients". I'm not saying Stack had to be told something in this vein, but it's not out of the realm of possibility he was completely disconnected from every case.

The solved ones! He bragged in a TV Guide interview about someone taping the episode with the case of a fugitive with a French accent and telling the guy about it. The fugitive lived in the same building. He fled, but was captured.

I wonder if the IH 70 segment bothered him that the artist sketching resembled his features in his latter years on lifetime.

I'm not sure. Stack may not have met a lot of the interviewees. He did his segment and the voice over and the interviews were done by other people, I believe. It's hard to say just how devoted he was to his work. Maybe he was obsesses with it, who knows?
