I recorded it & watched it a few minutes ago. It sure is different & darker from the original show, it reminds me of Pushing Daisies & Reaper.

That's no coincidence, Mockngbird Lane was written by Bryan Fuller, who created Pushing Daisies.

I liked Mockingbird Lane. It was dark and a little twisted, but very witty.
The cast was very good, especially Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Munster.

It's too bad the chances of them making it into a series are slim to none. But it was nice of them to show the pilot.

It was DECENT, but third in its slot and didn't even win the 18-49 demo... I liked it. I tweeted during it, making sure to wrack up the #MockingbirdLane hash-tag and keep posting positive notes. While it's unlikely to make a huge difference, things like social media response, critical response, and DVR response can be factors (though minimal compared to the cost-benefit analysis of ratings-to-cost -- and Mockingbird Lane was expensive).

we watched it - as a standalone show it would have been alright, although the plot/pacing was a little disjointed.

- as a "remake" or a "reboot" it didn't really cut it; I wouldn't think any Munsters fan would have been very happy with it.

I watched "Mockingbird Lane" last night and frankly, I liked it. Bear in mind a whopping $10 million was spent on the pilot. That is a lot of money for a pilot. I suspect if it were to go to series there would be a sizable reduction in the budget, meaning a lot of effects would have to be sacrificed.

Based on the ratings, it will be a toss-up if NBC green lights a series. I would say no, but who knows. It was a little macabre for my taste, but in a world of "True Blood" and "Walking Dead", it is no surprise they tilted towards that rather than slapstick humor.

I still am unsure about the casting of Jerry O'Connell and Portia de Rossi. Grandpa, Marilyn and Eddie were great.

If they can turn it into a 30-minute more of a "sitcom" style then I think it will go. But a one-hour show with lots of effects, I just don't think NBC will cough up the dough. Maybe HBO or one of the cable channels will give it more of a chance.

See if you can watch it on demand. I have Cox Cable and they have a thing called My Primetime and it has recent airings on demand for a week.

I thought it was a decent reboot of the characters, although the pilot story sort of disappointed me and got silly/stupid in the end. probbaly this is a bad idea and it ran its course.

I just watched Mockingbird Lane on youtube, and found it very enjoyable. I hope that NBC picks this show up. I know it's a reboot and a big departure from the original series (which I loved), but I like the new twist.

Never saw it, but heard about it....did it only pilot, or were there more episodes?

It was only the one episode. I really enjoyed it and wish it was picked up as a series. Bryan Singer from the X-Men movies was the director.
