Oh No Anyone else disappointed by the Thanksgiving Reunion episode?

Just watched that episode a few days ago, and it seemed half-baked and stretched out, especially for a one hour episode. Particularly Gloria's crying (I swear she got worse as the years went on), and the lack of laughs. What a sad way for the final appearance of Archie, Edith, Gloria and Mike together . I give it either a 5.5 or 6 out of 10, and that's with an extra .5 bonus for the original 4 being together!

I saw it maybe a year or two ago and I can't honestly remember much about it, must not have been that special because I really can't remember much from it.

You're right, it's not that special, mind you, the 1978 episode of All In The Family where Archie and Edith go to California isn't much better.

Just watched the Thanksgiving episode on Youtube and I enjoyed it and give it a 8 out of 10 because

1. The kids had a small role in this episode

2. Edith's line to Mike after he said he marched in the Nude to prevent the Nuclear Tower from being built.....And you thought if they saw you naked they wouldn't build it?" LOL

3.The scene at the dinner table once it was out the bag that Mike loss his job

4.Archie's term for word eavesdropping............"EavesDripping"

Annoying part of the episode........."Gloria's crying of course"

The WTF part of the episode........."Gloria telling Mike he is childish" Really?

And the most shocking scene allowed in this episode for network TV which was so many years ago was........"Gloria kissing Mike on his bare chest?

I have never seen a woman kiss a man on his chest on any sitcom EVER!!! LOL

Surprising and Unexpected part of the episode....."Archie telling Mike that as long as he is alive he will never go hungry"

I thought that was nice

Eavesdripping... now THAT was hilarious!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it TVFactFan, and just out of interest, what did you think to the All In The Family episodes where Archie & Edith visit California?

Not quite, it's in Season 9 of All In The Family, which if you ask me, was really a transitional season between AITF and ABP.

I've never seen that episode! I wonder if TVLand will air it this week since Thanksgiving is only a few days away. I've seen the two part Christmas episode where Edith and Archie go to California. I think it's a sad story because Mike and Gloria are pretending to be married when really, they're separated. The scene in the bathroom with Edith and Gloria is sad to me because Edith was so excited about the visit, seeing her grandson and everything.

The episode is on youtube. That's where I went to watch it since it's not in syndication.
