That was Dale Kerstetter, the man who worked for Corning. His family has posted here several times in the thread about his case.

I can't believe this has never been solved. It's clear he wasn't in on it, but it seems most of the people at the company were intent on placing him as an inside man.

Yeah it seems like when there is no clear evidence to solve a crime people use theories or motives for what they believe happened and the first person with involvement takes the blame. In those types of cases some are guilty, but some are innocent as well.

I don't think that he robbed the company and disappeared on his own. I haven't watched the segment in a while so I don't remember every detail, but that didn't fit his character if I remember correctly. He obviously knew the camera was there so I think it would just be natural for him to do that.
