Default S4 special features

Does anyone know what special features are included on the season 4 dvd release coming up in December? I'd like to see original cast commercials, possibly an episode of Booth's "A Touch of Grace", sponsor bumpers.

I doubt there will be any extras. Seasons 2 and 3 didn't have extras, so no reason to think season 4 will have any extras. I just want all the episodes to be uncut, unlike season 3 where 2 episodes are edited.

It HAS been stated by Shout Factory that Season 4 will contain vintage promos, etc.

If they have anything more in the way of better bonus features, I assume they're saving it for the final season to entice buyers, since many people have posted online they aren't planning on buying Season 5. I, for one, am looking to S5 the most since I haven't seen alot of those episodes.

Just read a review by Paul Mavis from DVD Talk about the season 4 DVD. He says the set has no extras. He also says that after watching the episodes, the series seems to be running out of steam, the previous seasons were better. I agree but season 4 does still have a number of worthy episodes. He says the transfers are of varying quality, some good and some not so good, probably similar to what we got in seasons 2 and 3. He says nothing however, about the completeness of the episodes, whether any are edited or not. If Sitcoms Online posts a review, I request in advance to please list run times for each episode.

I just opened my set and immediately viewed the "Vintage Promotional Materials" as they are called on the back of the snapcase.

Unfortunately, these are not the filmed promos, cast commercials, etc. I thought we were getting. Instead, it's scans of a promotional booklet that Screen Gems released in 1961 when HAZEL was being prepped for debut that fall. It essentially covers her history from the Ted Key comic strip (with many illustrations) to her impending prime-time premiere. There are no cast photos included, just Key's illustrations of HAZEL.

I think that's good. At least they put that special feature in. Kasey, what did you think of it?

It was ok but kind of boring IMO. I guess they figured if they had it, they may as well include it. For me, having the episodes is the important thing. If they have any more goodies, I really hope they are saving any vintage filmed promos, etc. for Season 5 to entice more buyers. I REALLY want S5!

I think the idea of adding any episodes of "A Touch Of Grace" is EXCELLENT!!!
It would definitely boost the incentive for buying the set. Wonder if they could add the entire season as they did with "Barney Miller" (adding an entire season of the spin-off).

Paul Mavis reviews are usually pretty detailed, I'm surprised he didn't mention the bonus feature, although it doesn't sound like much of a bonus. I agree season 5 of Hazel is the holy grail, hopefully that season will be out on DVD in 2013.

I sure wish some of the cast Ford Car commercials could have been included on all 4 season sets. I would think Ford Motors would be happy to release these.

Is it possible those car ads don't exist anymore? Perhaps they were not preserved and now are lost.

The only integrated commercial I've seen on YouTube is the one where Hazel rides Mr. B's exercise bike, which he's selling because he doesn't like it...and then segues into "something everybody likes...the new '64 Ford Falcon!" It shows her and a Wimbledon White Futura 2-door hardtop against the security fence (which divides the Baxters' home from Darrin and Samantha's home on "Bewitched"!), but that was an S3 commercial....
