T.R. Knight is the latest big-name guest star checking into "The Good Wife" this season.

The "Grey's Anatomy" vet will play a political operative in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama, Entertainment Weekly reports. Now the question is, will his character help or hurt the Florrick for Governor campaign?

The Florrick for Governor campaign is getting some help from a very familiar face when "The Good Wife" returns with new episodes next year.

"Grey's Anatomy" alum T.R. Knight will check into the CBS legal drama on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9/8c as Jordan Karahalios, a savy campaign manager Eli (Alan Cumming) is forced to work with.

The role marks a rare TV appearance for Knight, who has only guest-starred on a 2011 episode of "Law & Order: SVU" since his six-year stint at Seattle Grace.
